Who knew a Miami wine cellar, filled with only wooden wine racks, can look so interesting in all corners?
A wooden wine racking in a Tuscan home. It’s a perfect marriage of timeless and classy design. The team built this custom wine cellar to accentuate the organic and rustic feel of the client’s home.
For the wine racking system, the team used white oak. Then, the wooden racks were waxed instead of applying lacquer. Lacquer could leave a strong, undesirable odor, even days after application. It is one thing that this client highly disapproves of. Nonetheless, the wooden wine racking was both preserved and polished sans the unwanted odor from using lacquer.
The various wine-racking design and orientations maximized the bottle capacity of the wine cellar. You could see racks with cork-forward racks, diamond bins, wine shelves, horizontal display racks, and an area exclusive for storing wine cases. LED strips were then strategically placed by the team on channels along the racks to highlight the client’s wine collection.

On top of our custom arch, we decided to put in horizontal shelves with ample space to hold magnum-sized bottles.
